Air conditioned rooms and shady vista at CSU Fresno, provide the setting for you to share your experience in teaching writing to your students, whether they be kindergarteners or college students.

Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 3:30pm for 4 weeks you will see other teachers demonstrate how they teach writing and get a chance to share your methods; you will study a variety of writing, give you own writing a chance to grow and develop and earn a $1,000 stipend.

Accolades from our Fellows:

"The Summer Institute is a journey of discovery, a letting down of barriers, a setting aside of egos, a time of magic..."

" I became a writer this summer!"

"There is no other workshop experience that allows teachers to teach each other quite like the Writing Project."

"As a veteran teacher with 19 years experience, finding sources of inspiration, motivation, and validation are so important. I have been renewed and energized..."

This is not just for English teachers. As an elective teacher, I learned so much from the reading we had."

"We developed a strong bond through hard work, sharing ideas, socials, early morning coffee, lunch time under the trees, and sharing life experiences."

"This has been the professional growth opportunity. It has created an on-going network of peers, and the demonstration lessons have given me new teaching opportunities too. Just as valuable is the confidence I have gained in my writing abilities. I have grown from a reluctant writer, to a writer."
