YOUNG AUTHOR PROGRAMS
Children entering third through twelfth grades are invited to attend two-week programs at CSUF that are taught by Teacher-Consultants. Each session is three hours long.  The morning sessions are for children entering grades 3- 7, and the afternoon sessions are for children entering grades 6-12. These programs feature daily writing workshops and, activities that emphasize creative writing experiences. Writing activities are often blended with activities in other creative areas, including drama, painting, and storytelling. These programs are not remedial; they are creative programs for students who want to write.  Students publish their best writings in an anthology and share their writings with parents and other community members during the last day.
